Overview

My name is Beau D’Amore. I have been a programmer and networking consultant since 2000.

Using today’s advanced Visual Studio 2005 .NET web development tool, I quickly and efficiently complete projects that are time sensitive and potentially complex. The scope and power of choice available to my clients is quite broad. I’ve developed Control Panel and Reporting applications and services for things like:

  • Inventory Management
  • Graphical Reporting
  • Dynamic News/Info
  • Production Management
  • Data/File Management
  • Custom Accounting Extensions
  • Extending Existing Capabilities
  • Flash/Video Interactive Websites
  • And more…

The preferable method of writing applications for peak efficiency utilizes Microsoft SQL Server for its extended DTS and T-SQL capabilities for things such as ‘stored procedures’ and ‘views’. A Windows 2003 Server with Internet Information Service running the .NET Framework really capitalized on using SQL Server for incredibly fast application speed and scalability.

Combine these programming techniques with quality design makes the difference in company long-term survival. Design that checks and compares competitors in your industry, works with your sales staff to incorporate key sales approaches and target overall user experience goals.

Over the years, I’ve worked with many different languages, operating systems, and difficult client requirements. I have the ability to draw out of a client what their company really needs and to convert that technical jargon into understandable real world analogies. This allows the client to better understand cost reasons and time scales we set for particular projects. It also gains the trust of the client because they feel they are learning from me and are an active part in their application/system development. I can then translate from a client’s respective industry terms and concepts into working, useful programming.

With the advent of Apple's new iPhone, I've taken time to write corrective Javascript to account for differences in iPhone's implementation of the Safari browser. Resizing, zoom control, and orientation detection were key in keeping the picture right no matter what the user view preferences are.

View my online Production Management Demo in ASP.NET 2.0 or Classic ASP. Both examples are using the same SQL 2005 Database in real time. This techniques shows how a websites can be migrated utilizing both old and new sites simultaneously. I wrote this as an example to showcase a portion of an extensive application I wrote for a client. The .NET version utilizes maximum client-side data validation in .NET, and fits nicely on Apple's iPhone.

The Classic ASP version uses handcoded javascript and early layering techniques which work properly in IE.
